iPod: New Nanos, Classics, Shuffles and Touch
Apple have done a complete re-shuffle of the whole iPod range a few months ago (excuse the pun). The lastest generation Nanos, Classics and Shuffles hit UK stores a few months ago. The revolutionary iPod touch is due for release towards the end of this month.
The measly 2GB 2nd generation Nano has been scrapped and replaced with a smaller, thinner and altogether more stylish 4GB version, at the same price of £99. The new 8GB player comes in either black, blue or green, with the entry level 4GB only available in silver. The 8GB now retails at only £129. Extra features on the most popular mp3 player in the world include a widescreen display and video playback.

The classics has been upgraded to huge 80GB and 160GB hard drives, and now come in black and silver. You’ll pay £159 or £229, depending on the size of your music and video collections.
Someone might prove me wrong, but I can see absolutely no difference between the Classic and Nano, apart from the size and memory format. They now both have video playback, and the interface is identical. However, a true gadget connoisseur will ignore the above and invest in the brand new, flash memory iPod Touch. Read on to find out more.
The Touch features a revolutionary “multi-touch” interface, wi-fi, which will allow you to buy and download music without the need for a computer, a huge widescreen video display and the ability to watch videos directly from YouTube. The player also boasts Apple’s new CoverFlow album art display and a huge 22 hours music playback battery life. All of this inside an impossibly thin 11mm casing.
The main advantage of the Touch is the huge 16GB flash memory on the more expensive version (or 8GB). This makes the memory a lot more robust than its hard drive counterparts, and if you watch more videos on YouTube than those on the unit itself, you’ll save a lot of space. 8GB will set you back £199 while the huge 16GB will retail at a huge £269.
As for the shuffle, the only change is the colour. Now comes in blue, green and purple. Still 1GB, still £49.
You can orderthe whole new range with a number of retailers on Mymoneyoffers.com for home delivery or reserve and collect from your local store with currys and get it for xmas!
